Georgie Ward

An essential for any biological natural scientists or any who want to bridge the bio/phys subjects. The course in general is very fact-intensive and requires quite a lot of rote learning but you are eased into it by covering a lot of the subjects in biology that you will have learnt in school (cell structure) as well as practicals which allow you to practice a lot of the techniques discussed in lectures. You cover a variety of topics from cell activities to genetics and development.

The practicals can feel quite laborious but equip you with key skills that will be useful if you intend on taking CDB or Biochemistry later. I would definitely recommend reading through the practicals before going to them as it is otherwise easy to get lost with what you are doing.
