The Neuro course is very broad which brings advantages and disadvantages – it means that you will probably cover topics you don’t like/ aren’t interested in but it also means that you don’t spend to long on them and it allows you to get a taster for most parts of Neuroscience.

One of the hardest parts is learning all the different parts of the brain and what they are associated with. For this reason I would really emphasise how useful it is to have a look at brain anatomy when you start.

I’d also like to mention that I wasn’t initially planning to take Neuro and only changed my mind at the last minute. However it turned out to be my favourite 1B course and it’s true that it does keep your Part 2 options more open so do bear this in mind.
